WHAT IS LPG?

LPG’s basic characteristics

Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) is a group of hydrocarbon gases, primarily Propane (C3H8), Butane (C4H10) or a mixture of both; it is in the gaseous form at normal temperature and pressure conditions, and can be liquefied through pressurization or cooling at certain pressure and temperature.

Currently, LPG is widely used in the daily life of every family. This gas has the advantage of producing less NOx or other toxic gases and impurities in the combustion process, so it is not harmful to users and friendly to the environment.

CONTRIBUTE TO ECO-ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

LPG meets a very large part of the requirements in order to limit emissions from different processes. LPG is a completely combustible fuel, with no ash and almost no smoke. LPG has high cleanliness, does not contain corrosive impurities, is a fuel that does not pollute the environment.

USES OF LPG

Civil use

For civil applications, LPG is extracted into containers to serve the domestic needs such as families, small restaurants. The tank is pressurized when storing LPG at an operating pressure of 7kg-9kg/cm2, inspected and granted safety certificates by competent State authorities for circulation and use. 12KG bottle: Target users: 12kg bottle mainly serves the needs of LPG consumption on a small and retail scale such as daily activities of households, small restaurants, and production households using small gas fuel volume.

Commerce

LPG, when extracted into larger tanks, from 20kg to 45kg, is used in restaurants, hotels, schools, canteens, and small or medium-sized factories.

Industry

LPG is used in a variety of industries such as: fuel in the food processing, paper making, plastic granules and even explosives, fuel to run turbines to generate electricity, refrigerant, input for chemical industry. In agriculture and civil, LPG is used for drying agricultural products, heating, as fuel in cooking, fuel for vehicles, etc.

Transportation

Using LPG to replace traditional fuels such as gasoline and oil. However, up to now, the use of LPG in transportation is still modest. Test results using LPG converters for taxis show that we can save about 25-29% of costs compared to gasoline. Vietnam also started to apply LPG as a fuel to replace gasoline for motorbikes.
